Arrival
I am happy to announce the birth of our daughter, Maxine Ruth.
Maxine weighed 11 lbs 8.7 oz at birth and was 23 inches long...no that
is NOT a typo. And I am not sure how I grew such a large baby (I am only 5'2").
She was born on January 3, 2007 at 11:12 AM via cesarean section after
32 hours of labor....needless to say it was a bit of a long ordeal.
She spent 4 days in the NICU due to some glucose level, infection and
jaundice issues. But Maxine is doing great now. and we are so in love with her!
I hope to get you all the sordid birth story....but for now I need to sleep!

At 11 1/2 lbs. you named her right!!! Maxi is the perfect name. Wow - really you are 5'2"? LOL. You poor thing!!!! One of my friends is 5'2" and was miserable with her 6 lb. baby.

well done! your baby was born 1 hour before mine.i must say your baby is a hefty weight. i too had a long birth process but my 8lb 7 oz seems tiny in comparison. congrats! and enjoy. it's an amazing time. how has your first week been? will keep checking in to find out.
Congratulations and wow... .. Maxine is adorable and I think the way she was evicted is justified due to her size... apparently she was eating all the oranges :) Glad to hear all are healthy and home in spite of the rough start.
Congratulations to you and Mr. M! What a cutie chubster! She looks so wonderful and healthy and fabulous! I was getting worried, and so glad to hear the news.
